INTERVIEW with Sina Faroughi
I want to create original products and content that no one has ever seen before.
Why did you join X PLUS?
I was interested in Japan and was a big fan of tokusatsu movies and anime so it kind of became my dream to sculpt figurines. After coming to Japan for university, I ended up joining X PLUS after I graduated. During my first visit at X PLUS, my first thought was "Wow, this seems like a nice place to work." That actually has not changed even after I started job here and enjoy every moment of it. Not to mention several of my colleagues are from other countries as well which makes it feel even more open and lively.
What's your job like?
I'm primarily doing design for the Toys Team here. Luckily, one of my superiors who also works in my department was the one who started X PLUS's toy business from scratch which really inspires me while I work. Even if there's something I'm not sure about, it's easy to ask someone. It's really easy to suggest new ideas for any new projects you want to try and I also love the fact that I can throw myself into my work every day.
What are your goals for the future?
The work culture you'll find in X PLUS really encourages you to try new things so I would love to get the chance to make original products and content never seen before and bring that to new customers, just like how the toy business got started here. It's my dream for this content to reach those all over the world.
Do you have anything you'd like to say those who are thinking of joining X PLUS?
A lot of my colleagues here were born and raised in different environments and also have skills completely different from mine. We are working on a single project together so I think it's a great place if you want to utilize your past experiences. It would be great to have the chance to work side-by-side with others from different fields.
